Solo 401(k) as Personal Bank

Borrow up to $50k against your own retirement — pay yourself interest.

Overview

Any 1099/self-employment income qualifies you for a Solo 401(k). Once funded, you can borrow up to $50k or 50% of balance (whichever less), 5-yr term, prime + 1–2% interest paid to yourself. Use loan proceeds for real estate deals, business capital, or debt payoff. Interest goes back into your retirement account — a true personal bank.
