Solar PPA / Lease (No Money Down, 10–30% Bill Cut)

Third party owns the panels — you pay a lower per-kWh rate with $0 out of pocket.

Overview

Under a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) or solar lease, a developer (Sunrun, Sunnova, Palmetto, local providers) installs and owns rooftop solar at zero upfront cost — you buy the power at 10–30% below utility rates, locked for 20–25 yrs. They keep the ITC/depreciation; you keep the bill savings. Best for homeowners without tax appetite or capital for a cash purchase. Cash purchase + §25D 30% ITC beats PPA if you have the capital and tax liability.
